Sharing Google Analytics reports with other people

Google Analytics has added a Share button to

  • Custom Reports: (Actions menu on the table that lists your reports)
  • The dashboard: (top-left corner)
  • Advanced Segments: (Admin tab > Advanced Segments)

This a way to allow you share reports and the like so as to you've designed:  It workings by giving you an  URL so as to you can email or broadcast in a blog-post.

When someone clicks on this URL, they set out into Analytics, and a custom shot - which is precisely like yours by the side of the instant you clicked Share and fashioned the URL - is added to their own dash.

Effectively, what the other person sees is:

  • your report structure
  • showing their data

Analytics is hugely powerful, with far more skin texture than your run of the mill blogger needs. Some blogger-helpers don't mention it, precisely as it's so big (a small piece like using Microsoft Word to edit a text file).

But it has a digit of advantages greater than Blogger's built in Stats (including counts not being reset to zip each instant so as to you edit and broadcast a position with an updated date/time - which is the way I break single of my blogs a home-based page).

It seems to me so as to this share-your-analytics-design highlight opens up a big opportunity in support of frequent who really understand how Analytics workings to help the put your feet up of us attain actionable in rank almost what's incident on our blogs.   Do you know one Analytics gurus worth following?
