Takeout now lets you download your own YouTube videos

This Quick-Tip is about accessing your own YouTube videos, using Google's Takeout / Data-liberation service.

If you upload a cartridge using the Blogger Post Editor's cartridge icon, afterward it's stored in Google Videos - which is at the moment retired except for in support of the part so as to hosts vids uploaded thru Blogger.   (This was anywhere they were being deposit  the keep up instant I checked, which was a only some months ago)
Many frequent dislike this, and like better to upload their vids to YouTube at the outset, and afterward link to the YouTube cartridge from Blogger.  This gives

  •     Better control greater than the size of the cartridge you show in your blog / website
  •     Video management tools (sorely missing in Google Videos).
  •     Statistics almost viewers
  •     The opening to earn money singly from your blog if your cartridge becomes general
  •     Access to many more YoutTube skin texture.

This is related to the recommendation to upload pictures to Picasa independently of the post-editor, and putting them into your posts via the URL - it precisely gives you more control.

Now you can service Google Takeout to download a text of the creative in support of videos so as to you allow uploaded to YouTube - lacking changing the format.   This is another to YouTube's download function, which simply lets you download a transformed/transcoded version (eg a .Wmv I precisely checked was existing in support of download from YouTube as .Mp4).

This can be used if you are:

  •     Moving your content away from Blogger / Google
  •     Transferring a blog to a another Google story:
Currently nearby is nix way to assigning ownership of a cartridge in YouTube lacking changing the link to it, single option is to download the creative cartridge, upload it again using the new-fangled story and edit the creative position to meaning to the new-fangled location.
